부시에게 평화의 메시지 보내기 운동
민족문제연구소 (www.minjok.or.kr) 아래 내용은 북한을 '악의 축'(an axis of evil power)으로 규정한 부시 미대통령에게 남북통일을 위해 한국의 '햇볕정책'을 지지해 줄 것을 요구한다는 내용의 메시지입니다. 현재 재미교포들을 중심으로 이러한 요구를 백악관에 전하고자 하는 운동이 진행 중이라면서 국내 동포들에게 동참을 호소하는 내용의 문서가 왔습니다. 아래 메시지는 미국에 거주하고 계신 문동환 박사(고 문익환 목사의 동생)께서 만드신 것으로 현지에서 활동 중인 '이덕문'여사가 보내온 내용입니다. 아래 영문 편지에 주소와 이름을 적어 백악관에 메일을 보내주십시오. ◎ February ( ), 2002의 괄호에는 날짜를 적어주십시오. ◎ Name and address : 이 자리는 이름과 주소를 쓰는 자리입니다.(서울의 홍길동인 경우, Hong, gil-dong ; Seoul. We pray that the effort of your government will succeed soon without too much sacrifice of human lives. It is wrong, however, to link North Korea with Iraq as an axis of evil power. North Korea has been eagerly knocking at the door to enter the international community as a contributing member, condemning terrorism. It is economically extremely poor and cannot be a threat to USA or any other country. The North is complying to international nuclear power plants inspections. North Korea is desperately struggling to recover her economic health and seeking foreign aid and it is good for the peace of the north-east region of Asia as well as the United States of America to help her economic recovery. Kim Dae Jung, the president of South Korea know this clearly and tries to help the economic recovery or the DPRK with a policy which is called "Sunshine Policy". It is vitally important for the Sunshine Policy to succeed for Korean as well as for the region and the world. We urge you to support the unification policy of President Kim Dae Jung. '햇볕정책'의 성공은 전세계인은 물론 우리 민족에게도 매우 중요합니다. 우리는 당신이 김대중 대통령의 통일을 위한 정책을 지지해 줄 것을 강력히 요구합니다. |
